About the Position

Motus Head Office is seeking an entry-level IT Desktop Support Technician to provide technical support for staff, ensuring all desktop systems, hardware, and software operate efficiently. The role involves troubleshooting, system maintenance, user support, and contributing to IT projects and initiatives.


Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to technical support requests in person, by phone, or electronically.

  • Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues.

  • Install, configure, and maintain desktop systems, software, and peripherals.

  • Perform updates, patches, and preventative maintenance.

  • Manage user accounts and permissions.

  • Document support requests and resolutions.

  • Provide guidance and training on IT best practices.

  • Maintain hardware and software inventory.

  • Collaborate with IT team members on complex issues and projects.


Qualifications and Experience

  • Matric certificate.

  • IT Diploma or relevant certification (e.g., CompTIA A+).

  • Minimum 1 year experience in desktop support or service desk roles.

  • Proficiency in Windows and Mac OS environments.

  • Familiarity with remote desktop applications and helpdesk software.
