Job Summary:

Exxaro Resources is seeking talented graduates for its Graduate in Training Community Development (PIT) program. Graduates will be placed in Exxaro’s business operations across Limpopo or Mpumalanga. The role offers a comprehensive development program to help graduates gain critical skills and hands-on experience in their chosen field, preparing them for potential registration with a relevant professional body.

The PIT program will involve a variety of tasks designed to foster professional growth, equipping you with the necessary skills for permanent positions that may become available during the final year of the program.

Minimum Requirements:

Educational Qualification: Relevant B Hons degree.
Skills & Attributes:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration with teams.
- Demonstrated leadership potential with the ability to work independently or in a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant industry-specific software.
- Willingness to relocate within Limpopo and Mpumalanga.
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively, meeting deadlines.
- Adaptable and resilient in dynamic work environments.

Key Responsibilities:

Structured Development Plan (SDP): Follow and make progress against the established SDP elements, redeploying across Exxaro’s operations as necessary.
Performance Reviews: Participate in bi-annual performance reviews to track development and career progress.
Stakeholder Engagement: Maintain and enhance relationships with internal and external stakeholders, contributing to Exxaro’s reputation.
PIT Symposium: Participate in the annual PIT symposium, presenting projects and sharing knowledge.
Reporting: Submit progress reports on time for evaluation and ensure compliance with deadlines.
Safety & Compliance: Uphold a safe and compliant work environment by adhering to Exxaro’s health, safety, and environmental policies.
Support & Innovation: Provide strategic and technical support to teams, introduce new project concepts, and engage in technical discussions.
Continuous Improvement: Contribute to initiatives that optimize operations and improve cost efficiency.
Team Development: Foster high-performance teams by promoting Exxaro’s values and excellence systems.
Research & Knowledge Sharing: Participate in research activities that contribute to the development of professional skills.
