Job Summary:
Exxaro Resources is seeking talented graduates for the Graduate in Training Financial Accountancy (PIT) position. This is a Professional-in-Training (PIT) role that provides an excellent opportunity for graduates to gain hands-on experience and develop critical skills in financial accountancy. The program is designed to help graduates transition from academic knowledge to practical application within a leading South African mining company. Graduates will engage in various tasks that promote professional growth and prepare them for potential registration with relevant professional bodies. By the end of the program, successful candidates will be well-positioned for permanent roles within Exxaro.
Minimum Requirements:

Educational Qualification: Relevant B Hons degree in Financial Accountancy or a related field.

Key Responsibilities:

Structured Development Plan (SDP): Work on the elements of the SDP, gaining exposure to various aspects of financial accountancy within Exxaro’s operations.

Performance Reviews: Engage in bi-annual performance reviews to track progress and improve skills.

Stakeholder Engagement: Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders to enhance the company’s reputation.

PIT Symposium: Participate in the annual PIT symposium, presenting projects and contributing to knowledge sharing.

Progress Reports: Submit detailed and timely progress reports to track development and ensure adherence to program deadlines.

Safety & Compliance: Adhere to all safety, health, and environmental policies, ensuring a safe and compliant work environment.

Strategic & Technical Support: Provide financial support and strategic input to teams, participating in project planning and discussions.

Continuous Improvement: Take part in initiatives that aim to optimize operations and improve cost efficiency.
