About the Programme:
The Municipal Finance Management Internship Programme (MFMIP) at Renosterberg Local Municipality offers structured training and work experience to develop future municipal finance professionals. The program focuses on building competencies related to municipal budgeting, treasury, financial reporting, auditing, and risk management, governed by the Municipal Finance Management Act (MFMA).
This opportunity is designed to help graduates transition from academic learning into practical experience in municipal finance management, in line with the Municipal Minimum Competency Regulations.
Key Learning Areas:
Interns will gain exposure to a range of municipal financial functions, including:

Internal Controls, Risk Management, and Auditing

Requirements for Applicants:
To be eligible for the MFMIP, applicants must meet the following criteria:

Qualification: A minimum of a three-year Bachelor’s Degree or National Diploma with majors in any of the following fields:

Accounting

Economics
-
Finance
-
Risk Management
-
Auditing
-
(or closely related fields)

Age: Applicants should be between 21 and 35 years old.
