About the Role:
Curro Holdings is seeking to appoint a dedicated and experienced Mathematics Teacher for the Senior Phase at Curro Krugersdorp. The position is a full-time role starting in January 2026. The ideal candidate will be passionate about teaching Mathematics, committed to supporting the academic and personal growth of learners, and well-versed in using modern educational tools and techniques.
Key Responsibilities:

Lesson Planning & Delivery: Develop and deliver Mathematics lessons, using innovative teaching methods and tools to engage students.

Curriculum Management: Align lesson plans with the Curro and IEB curricula, adjusting for individual learner needs and barriers to learning.

Classroom Management: Plan and manage the classroom effectively, ensuring a conducive learning environment, including setting up the classroom, managing behavior, and fostering positive student-teacher relationships.

Assessments & Reporting: Create and manage both formal and continuous assessments, ensure thorough moderation, and provide constructive feedback to students and parents.

Extracurricular Involvement: Plan and participate in extracurricular activities and school outings.

Tutoring & Support: Provide one-on-one tutoring and extra lessons where needed to support student progress.
Qualifications & Experience:

Teaching Qualification: B.Ed, BA in Senior Phase Education, or similar qualifications. An honours degree in the relevant subject area would be advantageous.

Experience: Minimum of 2 years teaching experience at the Senior Phase level.

Curriculum Knowledge: Strong knowledge of the IEB curriculum and teaching Mathematics.

Skills:

Excellent communication, planning, and organizational skills.

Strong classroom management and problem-solving abilities.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other educational tools.

SACE Registration: Must be SACE-registered.

Background Check: Clear criminal record.
