About the Role:
Curro Holdings is seeking an experienced and passionate EGD Teacher to join Northern Academy in Polokwane for the FET Phase. The position is full-time and will begin in January 2026. The teacher will be responsible for teaching Engineering Graphics and Design (EGD) to high school students, focusing on knowledge transfer, skill development, and the overall growth of positive attitudes toward learning.
Key Responsibilities:

Lesson Planning & Delivery: Prepare and deliver effective lessons, using modern educational tools to engage students in EGD.

Curriculum Implementation: Align lessons with the Curro curriculum and IEB standards, adjusting for individual learner needs.

Classroom Management: Design and manage the classroom setup to promote optimal learning, ensuring proper discipline and effective communication with learners and parents.

Assessments & Reporting: Develop, administer, and moderate both formal and informal assessments, track student progress, and provide feedback to students and parents.

Extracurricular Involvement: Plan and supervise extracurricular activities related to EGD, including participation in relevant school outings and events.

Tutoring Support: Offer additional tutoring and remedial lessons for students who need extra help.
Qualifications & Experience:

Teaching Qualification: A B.Ed, BA degree, or PGCE in FET Phase education. An honours degree in the relevant field is advantageous.

Experience: Minimum of 3 years experience teaching in the FET Phase.

Curriculum Knowledge: Familiarity with the IEB curriculum.

Skills:

Strong communication, organizational, and planning skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other educational tools.

Proven ability to facilitate learning, solve problems, and write detailed reports.

SACE Registration: Must be SACE-registered.

Background Check: Clear criminal record.
