About the Role:
Curro Holdings is looking for a Mathematics Teacher for the FET phase at Curro Rivonia in Rivonia, Sandton. The role involves teaching Mathematics according to the Curro and IEB curricula, starting in January 2026. The teacher will be responsible for the planning, delivery, and assessment of lessons, fostering skills development, and cultivating positive attitudes towards Mathematics among senior phase learners.
Key Responsibilities:

Lesson Planning & Teaching: Plan, implement, and deliver Mathematics lessons using modern educational tools and methodologies.

Assessment & Monitoring: Create and manage assessments, both formal and continuous, to track academic progress and ensure improvement.

Classroom Management: Set up an effective classroom environment, ensuring that learners are engaged and that classroom rules are followed.

Term Planning: Develop and implement term plans, adjusting as needed based on school activities, assessments, and learners’ needs.

Extracurricular Activities: Participate in and organize relevant extracurricular activities and outings.

Additional Support: Offer one-on-one tutoring and extra lessons to learners requiring additional assistance.
Qualifications & Experience:

Education: BEd, BA in senior phase education, with an honours degree in education (preferably in Mathematics).

Experience: Minimum 2 years of teaching experience in the FET phase.

Curriculum Knowledge: Strong knowledge of the IEB curriculum and effective teaching strategies.

Skills:

Proven skills in facilitation, problem-solving, and report-writing.

Excellent communication, organizational, and planning skills.

Ability to work extended hours and weekends as needed.

Proficient in Microsoft Office.

SACE Registration: Must be SACE-registered.

Clear Criminal Record: A clean criminal record is required.
