Key Responsibilities
As a Foundation Phase Teacher at Curro Bloemfontein, you will:

Perform teaching duties, including planning lessons with modern-day tools and processes.

Set up workbooks and measure academic improvement and achievement.
-
Review, implement, and adjust the term plan as necessary, creating customized plans to support the class pace and available lessons.

Organize revision and parent meetings, ensuring tailored approaches for each learner’s needs.
-
Manage the classroom environment, including setting up for optimal performance, maintaining discipline, and communicating with learners and parents.

Manage assessments, including reviews, rosters, revision packs, moderation, and interventions.

Plan and manage homework and track reading levels and progress.
-
Plan and coordinate extramural activities and outings.
Qualifications, Experience, and Skills

Qualifications:
-
BEd in Foundation Phase Education (Honours degree advantageous).
-
SACE registered.
-
Clear criminal record.

Experience:
-
Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Foundation Phase teacher.

Knowledge of the CAPS curriculum.
-
Proven facilitation, problem-solving, and report-writing skills.

Skills:
-
Excellent communication, organizational, and planning skills.
-
Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Willing to work extended hours.
