The purpose of this role is to provide effective and efficient spare parts sales services, ensuring high customer satisfaction, operational efficiency, and strong supplier relationships. The Sales Clerk will actively participate in sales, customer engagement, and marketing activities to grow the parts business.
Efficient Customer Service
Core Tasks

Build and maintain strong customer relationships through prompt, friendly, knowledgeable service.

Identify customer needs accurately and recommend suitable parts and solutions.

Record, track, and follow up on customer requests.

Handle customer queries and complaints professionally and efficiently.

Maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure seamless parts procurement.

Ensure all customer interactions comply with company policies and service standards.

Assist customers with understanding warranties, returns, and exchange policies.
Sales and Marketing Activities
Core Tasks

Assist in planning and executing promotional activities (farmers’ days, trade shows, demos).

Support seasonal marketing initiatives aligned with demand cycles.

Promote agent brands through targeted sales strategies.

Process customer orders accurately for timely fulfilment.

Recommend appropriate spare parts using catalogues and digital databases.

Perform counter sales with competitive pricing and correct product selection.

Provide after-sales support to ensure customer satisfaction.

Use telephonic sales to reach new and existing customers.

Identify and report lost sales opportunities.
General Housekeeping & Administration
Core Tasks

Comply with all Health & Safety regulations.

Maintain clean, organised sales and storage areas.

Merchandise products effectively (stocking, organisation, visual appeal).

Pick and pack stock to support sales and inventory workflows.

Assist with displays and exhibits for promotional events.

Conduct stock balancing and report discrepancies.

Participate in quarterly stock-taking.

Keep accurate records of sales, stock movements, and customer interactions.
Job Requirements
Qualifications

National Senior Certificate
Experience
-
Minimum 1 year of relevant spares sales experience
