🌟 About the Bursary
The Shoprite Bursary Programme is designed to support talented students pursuing a career as a Chartered Accountant through the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants (SAICA).
Successful candidates will be given the opportunity to join the Shoprite SAICA Trainee Accountant Programme after completing their studies.
This programme offers:
- Exposure to the commerce and retail industry
- Structured on-the-job training
- Academic support
- Mentorship from experienced professionals
During the 3-year training programme, trainees rotate across different departments to gain practical experience and meet SAICA competency requirements in preparation for the APC exam.
✅ Minimum Requirements
To qualify, applicants must:
- Be studying towards a BCom Accounting or BAcc (CA Stream) degree
- Have a minimum 65% average
- Be in:
- 2nd, 3rd, or 4th year, OR
- PGDA / CTA level
- Be a South African citizen
- Be 27 years old or younger
