Programme Overview
The PathCare Academy is offering a Phlebotomy Technician Learnership designed to equip individuals with both theoretical knowledge and practical experience in collecting and processing blood and body samples. The programme will begin in 2026 and includes training at PathCare Academy campuses and laboratories across South Africa.
✅ Minimum Requirements
To qualify, applicants must meet the following academic and personal criteria:

NSC Grade 12 with:
-
Life Sciences/Biology ≥ 50% or HBM ≥ 60%

Mathematics ≥ 40% or Math Literacy ≥ 60%

Proficiency in English (read, write, and speak fluently)

Basic understanding of Afrikaans

Valid South African ID
-
Certified copy of Matric certificate

Willingness to:

Work shifts and after-hours

Handle blood and body samples
-

Demonstrated:

Strong work ethic

Teamwork abilities

Customer service orientation
