Be the “eyes on glass” protecting BET Software’s digital environment! As a Junior SOC Analyst, you will continuously monitor security events, analyze network activity, and escalate potential threats. You’ll ensure the company’s systems remain secure by proactively detecting, reporting, and responding to cyber threats 24/7 in a shift-based role.
🎓 You Bring:

Matric or equivalent qualification
-
Minimum 1 year SOC experience; 3 years in IT support preferred
-
Knowledge of SIEM, IDS/IPS, Firewalls, Web Application Firewalls, Data Loss Prevention (DLP), and Security Event Correlation
-
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
-
Experience with technical writing and documentation
-
Understanding of security standards and risk management
-
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
-
Ability to adapt and multitask in a fast-paced environment
-
Technical acumen to interpret and analyze technical specifications
-
Security+ certification is a plus but not mandatory
🛠️ What You’ll Do:

Monitor and analyze cyber security events 24/7 on a rotational shift schedule

Detect suspicious network traffic and escalate critical incidents appropriately

Analyze breaches, identify root causes, and escalate to intermediate analysts

Monitor services including SIEM, IDS/IPS, Firewalls, Web Application Firewalls, DLP, and Databases

Correlate security events and report on risks to business

Stay updated on current IT security trends and threat intelligence

Assist colleagues with security software installation and awareness

Ensure all security tools are operational and effective

Research and recommend security enhancements

Update and maintain accurate knowledge base documentation

Handle escalations effectively and minimize duplicates

Diligently manage alert closures and incident investigations

Identify emerging threat patterns and proactively act to reduce risks
