Overview
Cannons Creek Independent School invites applications for the position of Grade 5 Teacher to commence in Term 1 of 2026. We seek a dynamic and dedicated educator who is passionate about teaching, especially in Mathematics, and who will contribute meaningfully to our vibrant school community.
Minimum Requirements

A recognised teaching qualification

SACE registration (non-negotiable)

Police clearance certificate (required)

Proven experience teaching Mathematics in the Intermediate Phase

Proficiency in Google Suite (e.g. Google Classroom, Docs, Sheets)

Strong computer literacy skills

Willingness to participate in the school’s extra-mural sport programme

Understanding of the latest teaching trends; experience with Inquiry-Based Learning (IBL) is advantageous

Alignment with and support for the Christian ethos of the school
Key Duties and Responsibilities

Teach all core subjects with a strong emphasis on Mathematics in the Grade 5 curriculum

Develop engaging, future-focused lessons in line with best educational practice

Foster a nurturing, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment

Participate in the co-curricular and sporting life of the school

Integrate technology effectively into teaching and learning practices
