Job Summary
PPC is seeking a responsible and experienced Mixer Driver for its Rosslyn site. The role involves the safe and efficient operation of a mixer truck to deliver concrete to residential and industrial sites, often with varying terrain conditions. The successful candidate must maintain both the cleanliness and mechanical condition of the vehicle and mixer, while ensuring excellent customer service.
Minimum Requirements
-
Grade 12 (Matric) with external driver and mixer certifications
-
3 years’ experience as a mixer driver

Valid Code EC driver’s license
-
Valid PrDP (Professional Driving Permit)
-
Ability to drive Straight, Auto/Semi-auto, and Split gearbox vehicles
-
Ability to read, write, and perform basic calculations
-
Sound human relations and interpersonal skills

High levels of responsibility, integrity, and work ethic

Positive attitude and professional customer interaction
Key Duties & Responsibilities

Conduct pre-trip inspections of vehicle and mixer
-
Report faults or irregularities to Supervisor
-
Keep vehicle cleaned, greased, and in good condition
-
Manage tyre condition and wear
-
Drive to and from job sites safely and efficiently
-
Plan and follow optimal routes for timely deliveries
-
Operate the mixer to offload concrete as per job requirements
-
Comply with traffic laws and company policies
-
Perform basic maintenance, including occasional mixer drum drilling
-
Work overtime as required
-
Receive daily instructions related to tasks and deliveries
