Position Overview

iStore is looking for a Buyers Administrator to join their team at the Head Office. This role will provide essential administrative support to the buying team, ensuring smooth coordination of day-to-day tasks and helping to maintain accuracy across various departments.

As a Buyers Administrator, you will assist in managing new product listings, maintaining product specifications, coordinating range reviews, and facilitating communication between marketing, store operations, and compliance teams.


Key Responsibilities

  1. Product Listings & Spec Sheets

    • Assist in coordinating and maintaining product listings across relevant systems.

    • Ensure key listing details are added to internal tracking documents accurately and on time.

  2. Monthly Range Reviews

    • Provide administrative support in organizing and coordinating monthly range reviews.

  3. General Administration

    • Offer day-to-day support to the buying team, including meeting logistics and other ad-hoc administrative duties.

  4. Marketing Support

    • Coordinate marketing-related tasks, including preparing product information for marketing use.

    • Help ensure product details are accurate and submitted to the marketing team promptly.

    • Assist in follow-ups, approvals, and communication between the buying and marketing teams.

  5. Regulatory Compliance (ICASA/NRCS)

    • Manage documentation for ICASA and NRCS certifications.

    • Track timelines and communicate certification statuses to relevant stakeholders.

    • Ensure warehouse compliance with product labelling.

    • Oversee pre-shipment compliance and certification for incoming stock.


Skills & Experience Required

  • Experience:

    • 1 – 2 years of work experience, ideally in administrative or retail-related functions.

  • Skills:

    • Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail.

    • Proactive approach to task completion.

    • Familiarity with retail processes, product data, or eCommerce systems is preferred.

    • Clear and confident communicator (both written and verbal).
