Job Overview:
Dis-Chem Pharmacies is hiring a CJM Graphic Designer to join their team in Midrand, Gauteng. The role involves creating and developing engaging graphics for a variety of media platforms, including print, digital, social media, and more. The designer will be responsible for understanding the client brief, defining requirements, and producing elements like illustrations, logos, and layouts.
Key Responsibilities:

Design & Layout:
-
Drive consistent design standards across all platforms.

Plan, design, and develop marketing material.
-
Create rough sketches and work on layouts ready for print.
-
Illustrate and photograph any required elements.
-
Ensure all work aligns with client briefs.
-
Manage workflow from concept to final production.
-
Present final designs and concepts to stakeholders.

Innovation & Research:
-
Stay updated with new trends in graphic design and technology.

Redefine design briefs within cost and time constraints.

Stakeholder Liaison:
-
Meet with clients or account managers to understand business objectives.
-
Collaborate with printers, copywriters, photographers, and other team members.

Provide relevant and timely feedback to team members and management.

General:
-
Adhere to company policies, procedures, and health and safety regulations.

Ensure personal appearance aligns with the company’s uniform policy.

Minimum Requirements:
-
Grade 12 / Matric
-
Bachelor of Arts in Graphic Design
-
3-4 years’ experience in graphic design, packaging, multi-media, or social media.
Advantageous:
-
4-year BA Graphic Design Degree or B.Hons Graphic Design

Leadership experience within your role.
Competencies:
-
Excellent design knowledge and digital/wide format print knowledge.

Knowledge in web design & web development.
-
Ability to develop creative solutions for design challenges.

Ability to deliver presentations and ideas effectively to groups.

Proficiency in Adobe Suite and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).

Strong organizational skills to ensure work is completed within deadlines.
Special Conditions of Employment:
