Internship Overview:
Nkangala District Municipality invites unemployed South African graduates to apply for the Finance Internship Programme for 2025. This is a fixed-term, two-year programme aimed at recent graduates with qualifications in accounting, finance, or economics. It is part of the Municipal Finance Management Internship Programme (MFMIP), designed to develop skills and capacity within local government financial departments.
Stipend: R109,877.00 per year (fixed)
Eligibility Criteria:

South African citizen living within Nkangala District Municipality

Hold a Bachelor’s Degree or National Diploma in Accounting, Economics, Finance, Risk Management, or Auditing

Recently graduated and currently unemployed

Must provide certified copies of qualifications and original proof of residence
Key Duties:
Interns will gain experience and training in:

Strategic financial planning and management

Municipal budgeting processes

Finance administration
-
Support in risk management and auditing
-
Compliance and reporting tasks
This internship is part of a broader national initiative to strengthen local government finance by empowering young professionals.
