The Ehlanzeni District Municipality is offering a 2-year Internal Audit Internship under the Corporate Services Department to help young professionals gain hands-on experience in auditing, governance, and compliance.
Eligibility Criteria:
Applicants must meet the following minimum requirements:

Age: 18–35 years old

Citizenship: South African

Education:

Grade 12 (Matric)
-
National Diploma in Internal Auditing or higher (e.g., BTech/Advanced Diploma in Internal Auditing)

Skills:

Computer literacy (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Good interpersonal, verbal, and written communication

Internship History:

Must not have previously participated in any internship programme

Key Responsibilities:
As an Internal Audit Intern, you will assist the audit team with tasks such as:

Performing internal audits and reviewing financial records
-
Assessing internal control systems and safeguarding of assets
-
Evaluating performance management and compliance with legislation

Supporting investigations and preparing audit reports for the Chief Audit Executive
