About Pridwin:

Founded in 1923, Pridwin is an independent preparatory school for boys from Grade 0–7. Situated in Melrose, Johannesburg, it is known for its inter-denominational ethos and commitment to helping each student achieve his full potential academically, socially, culturally, and physically.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Oversight: Support the Headmaster and Board with non-academic operations.

  • Reporting: Prepare and present financial reports to senior management and stakeholders.

  • Asset & Budget Management: Oversee asset management, budgeting, and scenario planning while ensuring compliance with financial regulations.

  • Fee Collection & Debtors Management: Manage fee collection, reconciliation, and debtors.

  • Payroll & Employee Records: Process and reconcile payroll, manage employee records and personal information.

  • Financial Policies & Procurement: Ensure financial policies, cash flow, and procurement practices align with school objectives.

  • External Relations: Manage relationships with external service providers, and advise on capital projects and infrastructure.

  • Risk & Compliance: Oversee insurance, risk management, and ensure compliance with Employment Equity, skills development, and POPIA.


Preferred Requirements:

  • Degree: Relevant Accounting or Financial Honours degree.

  • Skills: Strong management skills in finance, administration, HR, IT, and facilities.

  • Software Proficiency: Expertise in Pastel, Excel, and financial reporting tools.

  • Experience: Experience in managing a school environment is preferred.

  • Personal Attributes: Excellent interpersonal communication, multicultural sensitivity, strong organizational, and multitasking abilities.
