Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced, dynamic, and passionate Sports Coordinator / Head of Sport to lead and develop our sports programme across all phases. The successful candidate will be responsible for strategic planning, staff leadership, event coordination, and nurturing sporting talent in line with the school’s vision and values.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Strategy:

Develop and execute a sports strategy that promotes participation, teamwork, and excellence

Oversee all sports codes and extracurricular physical activities
Administration & Coordination:
-
Plan and manage the sports calendar including fixtures, tournaments, and festivals

Coordinate logistics such as transportation, referees, and venues
-
Maintain accurate records of fixtures, results, and participation
-
Manage sports inventory, equipment, and uniforms
Staff Management:
-
Lead, mentor, and support coaches and assistants
-
Ensure clear communication and teamwork within the sports staff
Learner Development:
-
Identify and nurture sporting talent
-
Organize trials, team selections, and training
-
Support learners in balancing academics and sport
Parent & Community Engagement:
-
Communicate regularly with parents about events and team selections
-
Represent the school at inter-school meetings and liaise with community sports organizations
Health, Safety & Compliance:
-
Ensure safe and inclusive sports activities
-
Oversee first aid and risk assessments
-
Maintain compliance with sporting regulations and codes of conduct
Minimum Requirements:
-
Recognised teaching qualification or relevant degree in Sports Management / Physical Education
-
Minimum 5 years experience in school sports, preferably with leadership duties

SACE registration
-
Strong organisational, communication, and administrative skills
-
Proven leadership and team management skills
-
Proficient in Microsoft Office and sports scheduling software

Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel with teams

Passion for sport and learner development
