Programme Overview

The IDC Internship Programme offers a structured and supervised 24-month workplace experience, designed to:

  • Help youth gain real-world work experience

  • Provide mentoring and networking with industry professionals

  • Support career exploration and practical application of academic knowledge


Objectives

  • Develop a pipeline of skilled professionals for the corporation and the broader industry

  • Provide unemployed graduates with employment-ready skills

  • Facilitate professional exposure and career development

  • Bridge academic knowledge with real-life experience


Minimum Requirements

✅ South African citizenship
✅ Aged below 35 years
✅ Completed BCom in Accounting or Financial Management (Management Accounting specialization)
Not currently enrolled in any academic institution
No prior participation in another internship or learnership
✅ Fluent in English (spoken & written)
✅ Willing to undergo:

  • Competency-based interviews

  • Criminal and qualification verification

  • Proof of citizenship


Placement

📌 Interns will be placed at the IDC Eastern Cape Regional Office.
