🏫 About the Position:
Somerset College is looking for a qualified and experienced Senior School Librarian who is passionate about promoting literacy, managing digital and physical library resources, and engaging students in a love for reading.
✅ Requirements:

📚 Degree: BBibl or related qualification

✅ SACE Registration
-
📖 5+ years of experience in library management or education
-
🧑🏫 Experience working with high school students
-
💻 Familiarity with digital library platforms such as SORA, SLIMS, and/or SITA (highly desirable)

🗣️ Strong communication and interpersonal skills

🗂️ Organised, proactive, and collaborative
🎯 Key Responsibilities:

Daily library operations and book curation
-
Book purchasing and cataloging
-
Student and staff support with book recommendations
-
Manage after-school book club
-
Collaborate with the English Department
-
Supervise student library assistants
-
Conduct orientation for new students
-
Assist in tutoring, invigilation, and proofreading activities
