Key Responsibilities
Supervision and Leadership
-
Lead and guide the maintenance team to ensure effective performance

Ensure the team has necessary tools, resources, and support
Task Management
-
Assign, prioritise, and monitor maintenance tasks for timely completion
Equipment and Facility Maintenance
-
Oversee maintenance and repairs of all buildings, facilities, and equipment
-
Ensure assets remain in optimal working condition
Safety and Compliance
-
Enforce adherence to all safety regulations and procedures during maintenance activities
Inventory Management
-
Maintain inventory of parts and supplies
-
Reorder items as needed to avoid delays
Budget Management
-
Monitor and track maintenance expenses against the allocated budget
Record Keeping
-
Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance activities, and equipment performance
Troubleshooting
-
Diagnose and resolve complex maintenance issues promptly
After-Hours Duties

Work with the Procurement and Operations Manager to respond to after-hours calls regarding premises issues

Provide guidance and arrange emergency attendance as necessary

Minimum Requirements

National Senior Certificate (NSC)
-
Relevant qualification or trade certification in facility/building maintenance

Project Management Certification is advantageous

Minimum 5 years’ experience in building maintenance, including electrical and plumbing work

Previous supervisory experience (essential), including planning and budgeting
