Role Summary
We are seeking a passionate Life Science Teacher to inspire and motivate students to achieve academic and personal growth. The role includes teaching Life Sciences (Grades 10–12) and junior Sports Science, while contributing to the school’s vibrant and nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities

Deliver engaging, well-prepared, and IEB-aligned Life Science lessons

Teach junior Sports Science

Create a nurturing, inclusive classroom atmosphere

Participate actively in a dynamic academic team

Provide effective pastoral care as a tutor teacher

Assess and report meaningfully on student progress

Attend all school-related events and uphold school ethos

Continuously reflect on and refine teaching methods

Stay up to date with professional development opportunities

Contribute to co-curricular activities (coaching desirable)

Carry out additional duties as assigned by school leadership
Requirements

Minimum 3 years of experience teaching Life Science at FET level (Grades 10–12)

Experience with the IEB curriculum

Willingness to teach junior Sports Science

University degree in Life Science or relevant field

SACE registration (mandatory)

Legally permitted to work in South Africa

Confident in using technology for teaching and learning

Strong ability to engage and inspire teenage learners

Willingness to coach or participate in afternoon activities is advantageous
