Job Purpose:
The primary purpose of the ICT Intern role is to provide desktop support by installing hardware and software applications and operating systems, troubleshooting software or hardware issues, and supporting staff at Rosebank College campuses, while gaining valuable experience and professional development.
Key Responsibilities:

Level 1 Desktop Support:
-
Gather user information (system name, error messages, etc.) to troubleshoot and resolve issues.

Use knowledge management tools and troubleshooting methods to resolve issues (e.g., uninstalling or reinstalling software applications).

Software Installations:
-
Ensure system requirements are met before installing software.
-
Check for existing software versions and install required updates.
-
Configure components that run automatically (e.g., Daemons, Windows services).

Hardware Installations:
-
Install hardware following company SOP modules.

Continuous Professional Development:
-
Learn technical skills and problem-solving techniques by working closely with First and Second Line Managers.

Gain real-world problem-solving experience.

Minimum Qualifications:

Certificate/Diploma in Information Technology

At least 1 year of working within a team
