Purpose of the Job

Impala Platinum is committed to youth skills development by offering graduates an opportunity to gain relevant work experience in the PGM industry. The graduate will provide technical, engineering, and management support to the operations during the internship to ensure operational objectives are met. Innovation is key for technical and business improvement projects.


Minimum Qualifications and Requirements

  • NQF Level 7 qualification in Mechanical Engineering.

  • In-depth understanding of engineering disciplines.

  • Medically fit for different operations (Concentrator Operations / Smelting Operations / PMR / BMR).


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Successful completion of a 24-month internship training program that enhances knowledge of the PGM industry and exposure to technical, safety, and managerial aspects within a production environment.

  • Attend required training and development courses as identified.

  • Submit reports per training requirements.

  • Provide technical support to operational areas to help meet business plans and operational targets.
