An appropriate academic and professional education qualification from a recognised institution

Current South African Council for Educators (SACE) registration

Proven experience in the teaching of English Home Language

Exceptional proficiency in spoken and written English

Computer literacy: Confidence in using a range of digital tools to enhance teaching and learning, including educational platforms such as Google Workspace and interactive presentation software. Proficiency in integrating technology into the classroom to support curriculum delivery, assessment, and communication is essential.

Clean criminal record with Police Clearance and Child Protection Clearance Certificate
Key Responsibilities:

Teach English Home Language to Grade 6 and 7 pupils
-
Deliver engaging lessons in Social and Natural Sciences and Life Skills as the Grade 6 class teacher
-
Plan, implement, and report on pupil assessments
-
Create a positive educational atmosphere that promotes effective learning
-
Develop curricula catering to diverse learning styles and abilities
-
Manage classroom discipline and foster an environment of respect and inclusion
-
Collaborate with grade/phase teachers to ensure effective operations
-
Assist with sports, cultural activities, and administrative duties as required

Attend relevant meetings, forums, and professional development workshops

Take responsibility for classroom equipment and learning materials
