Job Description
St Stithians Girls’ College invites applications for a part-time Swimming Coach position, available from 1 January 2026. The successful candidate will be appointed on a fixed-term contract based on their coaching level and experience.
Minimum Requirements
-
Minimum of 2 years coaching experience at Open level
-
Competitive swimming or coaching experience at school, university, or club level (preferred)
-
A degree in Physical Education, Sports Science, or Sports Administration (advantageous)
-
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
-
Commitment to inclusiveness and diversity

Willingness to align with the school’s ethos, including co-curricular and pastoral involvement
-
Valid driver’s license
-
Valid sexual offender’s clearance certificate (mandatory before employment)
Role Responsibilities
-
Daily morning training sessions and one gala per week
-
Attend all training sessions and galas
-
Participate in the Learn to Swim program
-
Coach and manage a swimming team (incl. team lists and admin)

Collaborate with other swimming coaches
-
Support students’ individual and holistic development as athletes
