✅ Minimum Requirements:

• Qualifications:

  • Grade 12 / Senior Certificate

  • National Diploma (NQF 6) in:

    • Accounting

    • Financial Management

    • Or a related financial field

• Experience:

  • 1–3 years in financial management or a similar role

• Knowledge & Skills:

  • Sound knowledge of:

    • Financial management and accounting principles

    • BAS (Basic Accounting System)

    • LOGIS (Logistical Information System)

  • Computer literacy:

    • MS Word, Excel, Outlook

  • Strong written and verbal communication

  • Good admin, multitasking, and team-working ability

  • Proficiency in English and at least one other official language

📋 Key Responsibilities:

• Creditors & Payments:

  • Ensure creditor payments are processed within 30 days

  • Verify accuracy and supporting documentation

  • File paid batches and respond to service provider queries

  • Monthly preparation of creditor accounts

  • Reconcile and follow up on creditor issues

• Salaries & Expenditure Reporting:

  • Process payments related to salaries

  • Prepare and submit monthly expenditure reports

  • Maintain a payment register to track all payments

  • Implement expenditure patterns

  • Prepare documentation as per programme responsibility codes

  • Detect and correct fund misallocations

  • Guide programme managers on budget utilization

• Independent Correctional Centre Visitors (ICCV) must also attach:

  • A recommendation letter from a community organization (not older than 6 months)
