Gert Sibande District Municipality invites unemployed South African graduates to apply for two Finance Internship Programme positions starting in 2025.
Minimum Requirements:

Completed B Degree/National Diploma in:

Accounting

Financial Management
-
N6/Accounting and Internal Audit

Residents within the Gert Sibande District Municipality’s jurisdiction

Key Responsibilities:
Interns will gain exposure across the Finance Department, including:
-
Clerical tasks for processing information (debtors, creditors, income, expenditure)
-
Reconciling accounts (debtors, creditors, general ledger)
-
Assisting with salary input and payroll data control
-
Maintaining proper financial records and safeguarding data
-
Managing electronic data and records
-
Submitting statutory third-party financial returns
-
Assisting with:
-
Annual budgets
-
SDBIP (Service Delivery and Budget Implementation Plan)
-
Financial statements
-
-
Generating financial reports
-
Participating in internal audit processes
-
Supporting supply chain management
