Key Qualifications & Skills:

Core Responsibilities:

1. Employee Benefit Administration:

  • Capture and update employee benefit data (additions, amendments, terminations, claims) on provider portals

  • Submit group scheme claims, home loan applications, medical aid changes, disability/death claims

  • Ensure accurate payroll deductions and employer contributions

  • Assist employees and HR with benefit-related queries

  • Support pensioners’ payroll administration

  • Maintain records and comply with legislation (e.g., POPIA, Pensions Act)

2. Payroll Input Processing:

  • Capture payroll inputs for branches and third parties

  • Validate and correct payroll data via dummy payslips

  • Support payroll queries and distribute payslips and documentation

3. HR Systems Support:

  • First-line support for HR systems (budget, performance management, MSS, ESS)

  • Troubleshoot and resolve system issues or escalate appropriately

  • Manage Jira Service Desk calls for system users

4. HR Administration Support:

  • Assist with employee engagement, changes, terminations

  • Administer personnel budget process and branch budget changes

  • Generate reports and presentations as requested

5. Audit Support:

  • Perform audits on payroll data and employee files

  • Coordinate feedback and support external audit processes

6. General Administrative Support:

  • Prepare and distribute policies, communications, medical aid materials

  • Provide backup for Benefits, HR Admin, and Payroll teams

  • Arrange travel, meetings, and assist on ad-hoc projects
