What Does the Programme Involve?
As part of St Anne’s Teacher Internship Programme, interns will be actively involved in all aspects of school life, including:

Teaching practice
-
Pastoral care
-
Boarding house duties
-
Sports chaperoning
-
The Grade 9 “Great Adventure” trip
Prospective Interns Should:
-
Be at least 21 years of age
-
Be pursuing a PGCE or be a 4th year BEd (Senior or FET) student in 2026
-
Be pursuing or intending to pursue a career in teaching
-
Have at least one of the following teaching subjects:
Life Orientation, Visual Arts, Consumer Studies, isiZulu, Afrikaans, French, Life Science, Physical Science, Dramatic Arts, Economics, Accounting -
Be physically fit and able to participate in outdoor adventures

Be prepared to live in single accommodation on campus and take on boarding house responsibilities (preference will be given to female students)

Have a driver’s license (advantageous, but not essential)

Have a valid/recent criminal clearance certificate
What Is Expected From Interns:

A commitment to a 1-year contract

Involvement in academic, boarding, and extra-curricular activities

Be actively studying a relevant qualification (BEd Senior & FET or PGCE)
