About the Role
Dis-Chem Pharmacies is looking for an experienced Cashier to join their new store at Market Square Shopping Centre. The role focuses on providing excellent customer service at the point of sale, ensuring accurate transactions, and contributing to a world-class shopping experience.
Key Responsibilities

Adhere to Dis-Chem’s customer service policies and procedures.

Establish professional relationships with customers and report complaints or compliments.

Process all purchases, payments, and loyalty cards accurately.
-
Handle cash flow responsibly and ensure the security of money in the till.

Maintain awareness of sales, promotions, and stock procedures.
-
Follow proper security protocols and report suspicious behavior.
-
Perform daily cash reconciliations and line void approvals with supervisor authorization.

Ensure all outgoing stock/items/scripts are scanned and paid for.
Minimum Requirements
Essential:
-
Grade 12 / Matric.
-
Minimum 6 months’ cashier/till operations experience.

Computer literate (MS Office).
-
Sound numerical and basic customer service skills.

Strong command of English.
-
Willingness to work retail hours.
Advantageous:

Third additional language.

Knowledge of cash register operations, refunds, and payments.

Presentable and professional.

Special Conditions:
