Overview:

AgriSETA invites suitably qualified graduates to apply for a 24-month internship in Supply Chain Management. This program offers hands-on experience in procurement, bid administration, logistics, travel arrangements, and compliance within a professional environment.


Key Responsibilities:

1. Procurement

  • Source quotations from tax-compliant suppliers on the Central Supplier Database (CSD).

  • Compile RFQ comparative schedules and recommend approvals.

  • Generate and distribute purchase orders efficiently.

2. Bid Administration

  • Ensure compliance with SCM policies and National Treasury guidelines.

  • Follow up on outstanding supplier deliveries.

  • Facilitate contracts and SLAs.

  • Support bid committee meetings and provide secretariat services.

3. Logistics Management

  • Manage stationery and groceries.

  • Conduct monthly stock-takes and maintain records.

  • Issue stationery and prepare audit request forms.

4. Travel Arrangements

  • Assist with travel logistics and bookings.

  • Resolve travel-related queries, including after-hours.

5. Reporting & Ad Hoc Duties

  • Ensure timely reporting and maintain RFQ registers.

  • Perform additional SCM-related duties as required.


Minimum Requirements:

  • Grade 12 / Matric

  • NQF Level 6 qualification in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or equivalent

  • No prior work experience required


Competencies:

  • Basic computer literacy (MS Word & Excel)

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Ability to work well within a team
