Programme Overview

The South African Weather Service (SAWS) is inviting applications for its Work Integrated Learning (WIL) Programme 2025. This 18-month structured programme is aimed at unemployed TVET College graduates, providing them with valuable practical workplace experience to support their diploma qualification.

Minimum Requirements

Applicants must:

  • Have completed N6 in Management Assistant

  • Have been unemployed for less than 1 year since completing the N6

  • Submit the following supporting documents:

    • Certificate of Achievement

    • Letter from TVET College confirming intent to complete diploma

    • Comprehensive CV (clearly stating ID number, contact details, residential address, etc.)

    • Doctor’s confirmation letter for applicants with disabilities (if applicable)

Stipend and Logistics

  • Monthly stipend: R5,500

  • Learners must arrange their own accommodation and transport to SAWS offices in Centurion

  • SAWS is not obligated to offer permanent employment after the programme ends
