🔧 Role Overview:
As a Shift Electrician, you’ll handle electrical maintenance, repairs, and installations, ensuring safety and technical standards are upheld. The role includes reactive and planned preventative maintenance, working at heights, and some after-hours availability.
⚙️ Key Responsibilities:
🔌 Electrical Maintenance & Repairs:

Prioritise and complete electrical jobs efficiently.

Perform scheduled maintenance as per service level agreements.

Evaluate and improve existing maintenance processes.
-
Identify and manage critical electrical spares.
-
Handle breakdowns and call-outs (after hours and weekends as needed).
🛠️ Installation Work:

Perform new electrical installations: trenching, conduit installation, cable pulling, etc.
-
Use best practices in all installation tasks aligned with SA wiring regulations.
🧹 Cleanliness & Safety:

Maintain a tidy workshop and substations.
-
Wear PPE and adhere to safety regulations at all times.

Maintain a clean and professional appearance.

📚 Qualifications & Experience Required:

Trade-tested electrician (Essential)

Wireman’s Licence (Required)

2–3 years of hands-on experience in electrical maintenance
