Job Description

SAB (AB InBev) is offering an Apprenticeship in Instrumentation at the Rosslyn Brewery.

The programme is designed to train the successful applicant as a qualified tradesman while gaining hands-on knowledge and technical experience in instrumentation and plant maintenance.


Key Outputs & Responsibilities

  • Complete a 3–4-year apprentice programme as per company/SETA requirements.

  • Maintain a safe, healthy, and clean working environment.

  • Comply with all safety, health, and environmental procedures and legislation.

  • Gain technical knowledge and experience in the instrumentation trade.

  • Locate plant, equipment, spares, and relevant documentation/systems.

  • Participate in planning, budgeting, and job preparation.

  • Assist in evaluating and repairing breakdowns and maintenance.

  • Continuously improve plant, process equipment, and systems.

  • Develop machine-specific technical competence.


Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12 with Mathematics & Science.

  • National Technical Certificate (N4) in Instrumentation (required).

  • Higher qualification (N5/N6 in Engineering) advantageous.

  • Demonstrated engineering aptitude.
