Job Description

SAB (AB InBev) is offering an Apprenticeship in Instrumentation at the Polokwane Brewery.

This programme provides successful applicants with the opportunity to be trained as qualified tradesmen, gaining hands-on technical knowledge and experience in instrumentation, plant operations, and maintenance.


Key Outputs & Responsibilities

  • Complete a 3–4-year apprentice programme as per company/SETA requirements.

  • Maintain a safe, clean, and healthy working environment.

  • Comply with all safety, health, and environmental procedures and legislation.

  • Gain practical knowledge and technical skills in instrumentation.

  • Locate plant, equipment, spares, and relevant documentation/systems.

  • Assist with planning, budgeting, and job preparation.

  • Evaluate and repair breakdowns and perform maintenance tasks.

  • Continuously optimise plant, process equipment, and systems.

  • Develop machine-specific technical competence.


Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12 with Mathematics & Science.

  • National Technical Certificate (N4) in Instrumentation (required).

  • Higher qualification in Engineering (N5/N6) advantageous.

  • Engineering aptitude.

  • Willingness to attend periods of training in Johannesburg.
