Minimum Requirements

Tertiary qualification in Logistics / Transportation Management
-
Code EB driver’s license; EC driver’s license an advantage

Minimum 2 years in a senior supervisory position in the transport industry

Minimum 7 years’ supervisory experience overall
-
Computer literate with advanced MS Excel skills
-
Knowledge of NBCRFI Main Agreement
-
Technical knowledge regarding tyres and vehicle maintenance
-
SHEQ experience in the transport industry
-
Familiarity with Mix Telematics and DriveCam systems
-
Understanding of transport economics and finances
-
Strong leadership skills to supervise, motivate, and communicate effectively with employees
Key Responsibilities
-
Oversee routing and scheduling of delivery vehicles
-
Brief and debrief operational staff daily
-
Conduct multiple daily meetings with clients
-
Ensure fleet maintenance and roadworthiness, including valid license discs
-
Conduct SHEQ tasks: toolbox talks, committee meetings, safety inspections
-
Liaise with mechanical workshops, clients, suppliers, regional management, and head office
-
Supervise on-site suppliers
-
Ensure strict compliance with NBCRFI Main Agreement

Manage staff wages and overtime control
-
Monitor vehicle fuel consumption and oversee on-site fuel bowser
-
Review Mix Telematics reports and take necessary actions
-
Coach and manage DriveCam events
-
Optimize utilization of fleet and staff to meet operational targets
-
Ensure accurate and timely processing of operational administration

Control costs, review quotes, invoices, and monitor income statements (CPKs)
