Job Description:

A leading logistics company providing abnormal road transport solutions is seeking an RFQ Administrator to manage their end-to-end Request for Quotation (RFQ) process. You will play a crucial role in ensuring efficient communication, accurate pricing, and timely client responses for services across mining, construction, project cargo, and agriculture sectors.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive, review, and process client RFQs

  • Coordinate with internal departments (operations, finance, marketing) to gather quotation data

  • Prepare and submit competitive, accurate quotations on time

  • Serve as the main contact for RFQ-related communication

  • Deliver high-quality customer service and follow-ups on quotations

  • Maintain and manage RFQ records and client interactions in a database

  • Track and report on RFQ outcomes (success and conversion rates)

  • Ensure compliance with pricing structures, regulations, and internal policies

  • Verify quotation details including costs and timelines

  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure aligned service delivery

  • Identify and support cost-saving initiatives in logistics

  • Propose improvements to the RFQ process

  • Stay updated on industry trends, pricing strategies, and market conditions


Requirements:

  • Matric (Grade 12) – mandatory

  • Diploma or Degree in Logistics, Business Administration, Finance, or related field – advantageous

  • 2–3 years’ experience in a similar RFQ or quoting role (preferably in transport/logistics)

  • Knowledge of abnormal transport, permits, and load configurations – beneficial

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

  • Strong numerical, analytical, and organizational skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication

  • High attention to detail and accuracy

  • Customer-focused with problem-solving ability

  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in fast-paced environments

  • Team player with strong stakeholder collaboration skills
