Minimum Requirements

Must be a Christian and an active member of a local church (letter of reference from pastor required)
Suitable nursing qualification with proof of registration with SANC
Previous experience as a school nursing sister in a boarding environment (advantageous)
Willingness to reside on campus (accommodation provided)
Valid Basic Life Support and First Aid Level 3
Driver’s license and own vehicle
Dispensing license (or in process of obtaining)
Computer literacy and administration skills
Knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act
Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and be on call

Key Responsibilities

Provide First Aid and dispense medication to learners and staff
Implement health and safety protocols
Transport and accompany sick/injured children to medical facilities
Maintain medical records and submit medical insurance claims
Manage stock, invoicing, and ordering of medical supplies
Provide counselling support to learners and staff on health-related issues
Conduct drug testing when required
Work closely with boarding staff and be available for night shifts and weekends
Support the Head/line manager with any reasonable medical-related tasks
