Job Description
RCL Foods is seeking a Credit Controller to join its Group Services unit. The role is responsible for ensuring customer collection targets are met, managing overdue accounts, reducing financial risk, and supporting overall profitability.
Minimum Requirements
-
Relevant Finance Diploma or Degree
-
At least 3 years’ experience in a credit or logistics environment

Relevant Credit Management or Finance Qualification
-
FMCG debtors experience preferred
-
Wholesale/OK Franchise experience advantageous
-
Strong Excel skills, including Pivots and VLOOKUPs
Duties & Responsibilities
Credit Control
-
Generate and dispatch invoices or PoDs on time
-
Allocate customer remittance advices accurately
-
Process discounts and rebates for supervisor approval
-
Clear allocated cash in the General Ledger
-
Prepare stock tolerance journals and GL accounts for month-end
-
Run and distribute statements on the ERP system
Customer Administration

Maintain compliance with credit limits and report non-conformance
-
Liaise with customers for interim payments or credit limit adjustments

Report on accounts 60 days+ to the Credit Supervisor

Process “stop supply” instructions for non-payment, ensuring approvals

Notify internal departments when accounts are blocked
Claim Processing

Investigate pricing claims on SAP and process invoices
-
Obtain authorisation for valid deals and distribute internally
-
Schedule claims in the ERP system with supporting documentation
-
Manage stock claims (returns, damaged stock, shortages)

Track claims to resolution and provide necessary proof for invalid claims
