Key Requirements & Responsibilities:

Qualifications:

Recognised science degree and/or 4-year professional teaching qualification
-
Specialisation in physics or chemistry
-
At least 5 years teaching experience at Grade 12 level
-
SACE registration essential

Teaching Scope:
-
Physical Science (including further studies physics)
-
Grade 10 Life Sciences (advantageous)
-
Experience teaching IEB curriculum is a plus

Skills and Competencies:

Passion for Physical Science and vision for teaching it effectively

Awareness of international education trends and 21st-century learning
-
Innovative, tech-savvy (Microsoft 365 certification/experience a plus)

Strong organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills

Ability to build positive relationships with staff, students, and parents

Capable of creating inclusive, collaborative classroom environments

Willing to contribute actively to co-curricular activities and school life

Ethos:

Willingness to support and work within the Catholic ethos of the school

Practicing Catholic status is advantageous but not mandatory
