Duration: 36 Months (3 Years)

Qualification: Nationally recognised Red Seal trade qualification

The Phakamile Mabija Apprenticeship Programme offers unemployed South African youth hands-on training and practical skills in key trades. Successful candidates will gain valuable workplace experience while working toward a Red Seal qualification in one of the following trades:

  • Refrigeration

  • Welding

  • Fitting and Turning

  • Boilermaking


MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Age Group: 18–35 years
Academic Requirements per Trade:

  • Boilermaking: N2 with passed Engineering Maths, Engineering Science, Drawings, and Boilermaking Trade Theory

  • Fitting and Turning: N2 with passed Engineering Maths, Engineering Science, Drawings, and Fitting & Turning Trade Theory

  • Welding: NQF Level 4 with passed Engineering Maths, Engineering Science, Drawings, and Platers Trade Theory

  • Refrigeration: N2 with passed Engineering Maths, Engineering Science, Drawings, and Electrical Trade Theory

  • Curriculum Vitae (CV)

  • Certified copy of ID

  • Certified copies of qualifications

  • Proof of residence

  • SARS registration number

  • Proof of banking details
