Minimum Requirements

National Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification

Valid driver’s licence

Good communication skills
Key Performance Areas
As an Electrical Intern, you will assist with:
-
Planning, scheduling, and coordinating EEDSM (Energy Efficiency Demand Side Management) project activities
-
Collecting & analysing energy consumption and efficiency data
-
Supporting the development of energy-efficient solutions
-
Drafting technical specifications for energy-efficient equipment
-
Preparing reports with findings & recommendations
-
Coordinating with contractors, vendors, and municipal staff
Electrical operations:
-
Cable laying, conductor preparation & pole installations
-
Cable/wire terminations, soldering & lug fittings
-
Using handheld tools (jackhammers, power tools, etc.) for installations
-
Assisting with erection/installation of poles, aerial transformers & switchgear
