Role Overview

As an IT Service Desk Engineer, you will be the first point of contact for all IT-related issues across Hungry Lion’s stores and internal users. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Responding to inbound IT support calls and online tickets

  • Logging, classifying, and resolving incidents using service desk software (e.g., Freshservice)

  • Performing basic troubleshooting and escalating issues when needed

  • Supporting users across multiple stores and internal departments

  • Managing multiple tickets and maintaining high-quality customer service


Requirements

Education & Experience:

  • Grade 12 (essential); IT Diploma advantageous

  • At least 1 year of IT support or service call centre experience

  • Familiarity with IT support principles and cloud tools (Google Suite, etc.)

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities

  • Excellent verbal communication in English + one additional South African language

  • Customer-focused, team player, and self-driven

  • Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks

  • Experience with service desk tools (Freshservice) is a bonus

  • Willingness for rotational after-hours on-call duties
