Role Overview

The Technical Support Intern will assist the Service Desk Team in delivering quality IT support under the supervision of a senior engineer. You will gain hands-on experience in desktop support, network maintenance, and deployment of IT equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide support for computers, laptops, and printers

  • Maintain antivirus software and perform backups of critical systems

  • Conduct network maintenance and configure network devices

  • Set up laptops and other equipment for staff

  • Log, track, and follow up on IT support tickets

  • Assist in software installations, equipment deployment, and inventory management

  • Respond to technical support emails and calls


Requirements

Education:

  • Minimum: Grade 12

  • Studying towards an IT-related Diploma or Degree

  • Advantageous: Qualifications like A+, N+, AZ-900, AZ-104

Experience & Skills:

  • Experience installing, configuring, and setting up laptops and devices

  • Strong computer and application skills (Excel, Word, Stock Systems)

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Problem-solving, proactive attitude, and attention to detail

  • Ability to work independently and in a team

  • Strong time management skills

  • Willingness to learn and accountable for tasks
