About the Academy

The Oprah Winfrey Leadership Academy for Girls (The Academy) is a residential school in Meyerton, Gauteng, for Grades 8–12. It aims to nurture the next generation of women leaders. Students write the IEB NSC exams. The Academy is an ISASA member and an equal opportunity employer.

Role Overview

As a Swimming Coach, you will:

Coach swimming as a core sport, developing swimmers of varying skill levels.
Teach proper techniques, promote water safety, and build confidence.
Prepare students for internal and external competitions.
Plan, coordinate, and lead swim galas and inter-school competitions.
Work collaboratively with other coaches and staff.

Minimum Requirements

Grade 12 certificate.
Recognised South African Basic Swimming Instructor/Coaching Certification.
Experience coaching youth or beginner swimmers.
Strong knowledge of stroke techniques, water safety, and training methods.
First Aid, CPR, and water rescue certification is a plus.
