Position Overview
St Dunstan’s College is seeking a dynamic and passionate Head of Sport for its Preparatory School. The successful candidate will oversee the management and coordination of all sporting activities, ensuring a high standard of sport and physical education at the school. This position offers a unique opportunity to lead and develop sporting programs, manage staff, and contribute to the growth of school sports.
Key Responsibilities

Oversee sporting and Physical Education budgets.

Manage trials and team selection processes.

Recruit, select, and supervise all sports staff, including Physical Education coaches.

Coach designated sporting codes based on the school’s needs.

Organize and coordinate tours, tournaments, and coaching clinics.

Run the 3-IN-1 Festival (Preparatory School Winter Sports Festival).

Source funding and sponsorships for school sports activities.

Purchase and maintain sports equipment and facilities.

Coordinate school Inter-House activities.

Manage School Sports Awards, including nominations, meetings, and ceremonies.

Required Qualifications and Experience

Relevant Education qualification with SACE registration.

Must be qualified to teach Physical Education.

Ability to teach academic subjects is an advantage.

At least three years’ experience in a Management/HOD position.

Proven success in administration.

Strong computer skills are essential.

Ability to develop positive relationships with students, staff, parents, and the sports department team.
