Job Summary
PG Bison in Boksburg is seeking a qualified and experienced Press Foreman to take full responsibility for managing and overseeing press operations within the manufacturing plant.
The role involves supervising production staff, maintaining machinery, enforcing safety and quality standards, and achieving daily production targets. Candidates must be willing to work shifts, including nights and weekends.
Minimum Requirements

Grade 12 (National Senior Certificate)

Diploma in Production/Operations Management or Timber Wood Technology

2–5 years supervisory experience in manufacturing or a technical environment
Duties & Responsibilities

Manage production outputs in line with operational specifications and quality standards

Coordinate production needs and priorities per shift
-
Lead production teams across Logyard, Boilers, Refiner, Drying, Press Line, and Sanding Line
-
Manage breakdowns, quality, safety, and environmental standards per shift
-
Measure and report on production performance

Ensure adherence to production schedules
-
Monitor and analyse daily production reports

Check and control machine operations (speeds, tolerances, feed rates)

Communicate machine specifications to teams and initiate corrective actions

Manage raw material usage to ensure production within budget and parameters

Support maintenance for machine availability and reliability
